8K@60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor

The Jansicotek OZ8V1 extracts audio from an HDMI 2.1 source and passes video up to 8K at 60 Hz. It provides one HDMI input, one HDMI output and four audio outputs including 7.1-channel HDMI, Toslink, coaxial and 3.5 mm. The unit handles 48 Gbps bandwidth and supports Dolby Atmos, DTS-X and LPCM 7.1. It is aimed at users who need multichannel audio sent to a soundbar or AV receiver while keeping the video path intact.

48 Gbps bandwidth and 8K@60Hz headroom

The extractor transmits 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz RGB 4:4:4 and 5120×1440 at 120 Hz without compression. It also handles 4K at 165 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz for high-refresh gaming. Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dynamic HDR and VRR pass through alongside CEC control. The Toslink and coaxial outputs are limited to 5.1 channels, while the 3.5 mm jack delivers stereo only. The device does not support ARC or eARC, so TV-originated audio cannot be returned through the HDMI input.

IR remote EDID switching and 5 V power

A supplied IR remote selects EDID modes to match source capabilities, and a 5 V/1 A DC adapter powers the unit. The compact 5.59×3.15×1.26 inch enclosure fits behind a display or inside a media cabinet. All connectors are female, so standard cables plug in directly. Buyers who need ARC or eARC extraction, or who require more than one HDMI input, will need a different solution.
