SD/HD/3G-SDI Converter for Professional Video

The Jansicotek SDI2HDMI converts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI while providing a loop-through SDI output. It accepts 480i, 576i, 720p and 1080i/p formats at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz and draws power from a USB 5 V 1 A supply. Video engineers and streaming operators use it to feed HDMI monitors or capture cards from broadcast cameras and switchers.

USB Power Adapter and Loop-Through SDI Output

The bundled DC cable lets the unit run from any standard USB port without a dedicated mains brick. A second BNC output passes the original SDI signal onward so a second SDI monitor or recorder can stay in the chain. The converter re-clocks the data at up to 2.97 Gbps, which helps maintain signal integrity over longer cable runs.

3G-SDI Bandwidth and HDMI 1.3a Output Limits

The SDI interface tops out at 2.97 Gbps, so 1080p at 50 or 60 Hz is the highest progressive format supported. HDMI output follows the 1.3a specification with 30 or 36 bits per pixel and eight-channel 24-bit 48 kHz embedded audio. Buyers needing 4K, HDR or higher frame rates will require a different converter class.
