Connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt source to a DisplayPort 1.4 monitor at 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz over 6.6 ft
This 6.6 ft cable connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt 4/3 source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display. It supports up to 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 2K at 240 Hz with HDR and HDCP 2.2. The unidirectional design carries video from the host to the monitor only.
Suits MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, Dell XPS and similar devices with USB-C or Thunderbolt 4/3 ports that output DisplayPort Alt Mode. Not for users whose host lacks DisplayPort Alt Mode, who need power delivery through the cable or who require a DisplayPort source to USB-C display direction.
The cable operates only from a USB-C or Thunderbolt 4/3 port on the host to a DisplayPort 1.4 input on the monitor. It does not carry power and will not work if the host port supports only data or charging without video output.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the USB-C source must support DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 4/3 video output; a plain USB-C data port will not drive the display.
The cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, so it will operate at the monitor's maximum supported resolution and refresh rate.
Open the display settings in Windows or macOS and verify the active resolution reads 3840x2160 at 144Hz with HDR enabled if your monitor supports it.
