16 ft DisplayPort 1.4 fibre cable

The Jansicotek TJ-A077 is a 16 ft fibre-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable built for 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz. It delivers up to 32.4 Gbps bandwidth with HDR10 and DSC 1.2 support. The hybrid glass-fibre and copper construction maintains signal integrity over long runs where copper cables fail. It suits PC builders, home-cinema installers and professionals linking distant displays to high-end graphics cards.

Directional fibre link for long runs

The cable is directional: one connector is marked Source for the GPU or media player, the other Display for the monitor or projector. Gold-plated contacts and a zinc-alloy shell resist corrosion and physical stress. The TPE jacket is wear-resistant and rated for in-wall routing. No external power adapter is required; the fibre cores draw negligible power from the DisplayPort interface itself. Backward compatibility covers 2K and 1080p signals.

Passive cooling and zero fan noise

Because the link uses passive optical fibres, it generates no measurable heat and produces no audible noise during operation. The oxygen-free copper auxiliary conductors handle the low-speed auxiliary channel without active circuitry. Power draw remains within the DisplayPort specification, so the host port supplies all required current. The cable is certified for Windows Vista and works with any DisplayPort 1.4 source and sink.

Questions about this item

Does the 32.4Gbps bandwidth hold steady over the full 16 ft length?

The hybrid fiber and copper construction is built to maintain the full 32.4Gbps link across the entire 16 ft run without signal loss.

How much heat or power draw does the active optical design add during all-day 8K@60Hz use?

The cable draws only the small amount of power supplied by the DisplayPort source connector and runs cool enough that no external power adapter is required.

Which DisplayPort version must my graphics card and monitor both support for 8K@60Hz?

Both the source and the display need DisplayPort 1.4 ports to run 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz over this cable.
