SATA-to-USB adapter for 2.5" and 3.5" drives

Connect a 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD to a laptop or desktop via USB 3.0. The adapter adds external storage, enables backups, creates disk images, assists data recovery and transfers files without installing the drive inside an enclosure. Plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation.

12V 2A power adapter and UASP support

A 12V 2A power supply is included so both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives receive sufficient power; the 3.5-inch form factor cannot operate without it. UASP protocol support on Windows 8, Mac OS X 10.8 or later and Linux raises read speeds by up to 70% and write speeds by up to 40% over standard USB 3.0 when the host also supports UASP.

22-pin SATA connector with 5Gbps USB 3.0

The cable terminates in a 22-pin SATA interface that mates directly with the drive’s data and power pins. The USB 3.0 link runs at 5Gbps, setting the maximum throughput ceiling for any attached SATA III SSD or HDD.
