Connects a USB 3.0 device to a VGA display for multi-monitor setups at up to 1920x1080@60Hz, USB-powered and driver-free on Windows 10/8.1/8/7/XP
This USB 3.0 to VGA adapter connects a laptop or desktop to a VGA monitor, projector or TV for a multi-monitor setup. It extends or mirrors the Windows desktop without an external power supply. The compact black dongle is USB-powered and requires no driver CD for Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 or XP. It adds a second display to systems that lack a spare video output.
Over USB 3.0 the adapter drives up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz for sharp full-HD output. When plugged into a USB 2.0 port the maximum falls to 800x600 at 60 Hz, limiting detail for modern applications. The device handles typical office workloads, web browsing and video playback at 1080p but runs out of bandwidth for higher resolutions or high-refresh gaming.
The converter relies on host CPU rendering and USB bulk endpoints, so sustained frame rates depend on processor load and USB controller quality. USB 3.0 provides enough throughput for 60 Hz 1080p, yet latency is higher than a native GPU port. USB 2.0 cannot sustain 1080p at 60 Hz, restricting the adapter to basic mirroring or low-resolution extension on legacy ports. No audio is carried over the VGA connection.

On USB 2.0 the adapter is limited to 800x600 at 60Hz; the 1920x1080 60Hz mode requires a USB 3.0 port.
Open Windows display settings and confirm the external monitor shows 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 60 Hz refresh rate.
Only the USB 3.0 to VGA adapter itself is supplied; a VGA cable for the monitor connection must be purchased separately.
