Connects a USB 3.0 device to a VGA display at 1920 x 1080 and 60 Hz, adding a second monitor without external power
This adapter connects a USB 3.0 equipped laptop or desktop to a VGA monitor, projector or TV. It adds a second display without opening the case or installing an internal graphics card. The white, lightweight dongle draws power from the USB port so no external supply is needed. It suits office workers and presenters who need extra screen space on the move.
When driven by a USB 3.0 port the adapter maintains 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz for extended sessions. The USB 3.0 link provides enough bandwidth for smooth video playback and desktop work without frame drops. If the host only offers USB 2.0 the output falls back to 800 x 600 at 60 Hz, which is adequate for static slides but not for full-motion content.
The single VGA output caps the setup at one additional screen per adapter. Bandwidth is shared with other USB 3.0 devices on the same controller, so heavy concurrent transfers can reduce headroom. VGA carries only video, so a separate audio cable is required for sound. The device supports Windows 7 through 10 and installs without a driver disc.

It is USB-powered with no external adapter needed, so it draws only the 5 V supply from the host port. The compact, lightweight design has no fan and stays cool during extended use.
A free USB 3.0 port (also works with USB 2.0 at 800x600@60Hz) and a VGA cable to reach the monitor or projector. Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 is required; no CD driver is needed.
Yes. The adapter outputs standard VGA at up to 1920x1080@60Hz over USB 3.0, and falls back to 800x600@60Hz on USB 2.0, so legacy projectors display correctly in clone or extend mode.
