Converts analog VGA and 3.5 mm audio to digital HDMI up to 1920×1080 at 60 Hz, USB powered for wide device compatibility
The Jansicotek adapter converts analogue VGA signals from a desktop, laptop or set-top box into digital HDMI output for monitors, projectors or HDTVs. A built-in 3.5 mm jack merges stereo audio into the same HDMI stream. Power is drawn from a micro-USB port so the unit works with sources that cannot supply enough current on the VGA pin alone. No driver installation is required.
Supported input resolutions at 60 Hz range from 640x480 up to 1920x1080, including 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x720 and 1600x1200. The scaler tops out at 1080p, so sources above that resolution will not display. Total bandwidth is 6.75 Gbps with 2.25 Gbps per channel and 12-bit per channel deep colour. Uncompressed two-channel LPCM audio is carried alongside the video.
The black enclosure weighs 40 g and fits in a laptop bag without adding bulk. Female VGA, 3.5 mm audio and micro-USB sockets sit on one side; a single female HDMI port sits on the other. A slide switch selects 720p or 1080p output to match the display. Because power comes from any USB port or charger, there is no separate wall wart to carry. The converter only works from VGA source to HDMI display, not the reverse.

Use the 1080p setting when your display supports 1920x1080 at 60Hz for the sharpest image; choose 720p only if the screen cannot handle 1080p.
It provides enough throughput for a 1920x1080 60Hz signal with 12-bit per channel colour depth and two-channel LPCM audio over a single HDMI cable.
The converter outputs a 225 MHz pixel clock and 2.25 Gbps per channel, matching the bandwidth ceiling of the HDMI 1.4 tier.
