Bracket for JBL Control 29

This U-bracket is built to mount the JBL Control 29 speaker on flat, sturdy surfaces. It serves installers who need an alternative to the supplied InvisiBall mounting structure. The steel construction suits permanent commercial or residential installations.

Powder-coated 11-gauge steel

The bracket uses 11-gauge steel with a black polyester powder coating. This finish resists corrosion and matches the speaker cabinet visually. The 120 mil thickness provides a rigid platform that keeps the enclosure secure over time.

Direct surface mounting

The bracket bolts directly to walls or ceilings, removing the need for the ball-joint hardware. This fixed approach simplifies alignment in rows or tight corners. Installers gain a flush profile that cannot shift once tightened.

Questions about this item

Will the 11-gauge steel U-bracket need repainting or corrosion protection over time?

The bracket has a polyester-based black powder coating on 11-gauge steel, which resists corrosion under normal indoor conditions; no scheduled repainting is required.

What load limit applies when the Control 29 speaker hangs from this bracket all day?

The bracket is engineered to support the Control 29 enclosure; the structural limit is the speaker's own weight, which the 0.12-inch steel and mounting hardware are rated to carry continuously.

Does the steel bracket transmit vibration or heat from the speaker during extended use?

The rigid 11-gauge steel construction couples directly to the speaker cabinet, so mechanical vibration transfers to the mounting surface, but the bracket itself generates no heat and adds no audible noise.
