Compact multi-region DVD player
The JVC XV-Y225 is a region-free DVD player designed for viewers who want to watch discs from any region (0-9) on both PAL and NTSC televisions. It supports playback of DVD, VCD, CD, MP3, WMA, JPEG and MPEG4 DivX files. Files on USB storage can be played directly or copied from a disc to the USB device. A full-function remote control and multi-language on-screen display are included.
Simple connection with standard cables
The unit operates on dual voltage 110-220 V at 50/60 Hz, so it works worldwide without a separate transformer. Video outputs comprise component YPbPr, S-Video and composite; audio outputs include coaxial, optical digital and composite RCA for 5.1-channel sound. Connect the supplied cables to the matching inputs on the TV or amplifier, select the correct source, and the player is ready. The only common issue is attempting to play Blu-ray discs or PAL-format DVDs, which this model does not support.
Region-free DVD playback on any TV
The decisive specification is the all-region (0-9) DVD capability combined with dual-voltage 110-220 V operation, allowing the player to be used in any country on any PAL or NTSC television. Buyers who need Blu-ray playback or PAL-format DVD support should choose a different device.
