K KASONIC FL-101SW 1.5 FT Extension Cord

The K KASONIC FL-101SW is a 1.5 foot power extension cord built with heavy duty 14 AWG SJTW cable and a full copper core. It carries a 15A 125V rating for up to 1875W, using NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15R grounded connectors. The unit includes a waterproof on off switch and protective safety covers, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is ETL certified for safety compliance.

Capacity and Headroom

The 14 AWG copper conductors support continuous loads up to 15 amps at 125 volts, delivering 1875 watts of power. This handles typical garden tools, holiday lighting and workshop equipment without voltage drop over the short 1.5 foot length. It is not designed for runs exceeding the supplied length or for appliances demanding higher amperage than the 15A rating.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The heavy duty SJTW jacket and copper core promote heat dissipation during sustained loads, keeping the cable cool under normal operation. The waterproof switch housing prevents moisture ingress that could cause resistance heating. As a passive cord, it generates no audible noise and draws no power itself, only conducting what the connected device requires.

Questions about this item

Will the 14 AWG SJTW cable and 15 A rating safely power my older 12 A shop vacuum?

Yes, the 14 AWG SJTW cord is rated for 15 A at 125 V, so a 12 A vacuum runs well within its capacity.

How can I verify the waterproof switch is functioning correctly after I plug it in outdoors?

Toggle the switch; the connected device should power on and off cleanly with no arcing, and the cover should seal tightly when closed.

Does the package include only the 1.5 ft male-to-female cord with the integrated switch, or are extra adapters supplied?

The box contains the 1.5 ft extension cord with built-in waterproof switch and grounded NEMA 5-15P to 5-15R connectors; no additional adapters are included.
