1.5 FT Switched Extension Cord

This 1.5 FT power extension cord from K KASONIC uses 14 AWG SJTW cable rated for 15 A at 125 V. The integrated ON/OFF switch carries an IP65 rating for water resistance. It is built for indoor or outdoor use with appliances such as string lights, lamps, printers or RV fans.

Check Plug Type And Switch Location

Verify that your devices use standard NEMA 5-15P plugs and that the 1.5 FT length reaches from your wall outlet to the equipment. Only the switch itself is IP65 waterproof; the female outlet end is not waterproof, so position it where it will stay dry.

Thermals Noise And Power Draw

The heavy-duty 14 AWG conductors handle up to 1875 W without excessive heat during normal operation. The mechanical switch operates silently with a simple click. No standby power is drawn when the switch is in the OFF position, cutting supply to connected devices.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.5 ft K KASONIC FL-101SW cord include the switch and safety covers, or must they be purchased separately?

The cord arrives complete with a built-in IP65 waterproof ON/OFF switch and safety covers on the grounded outlets; no extra parts are required.

Should I choose the 14 AWG 15 A version for a 1875 W outdoor string-light run?

Yes — the 14 AWG cable rated at 15 A and 125 V supports up to 1875 W, matching the load of typical outdoor string lights and similar appliances.

What does the IP65 rating on the switch mean when the cord is plugged in outside?

The switch itself resists low-pressure water jets and dust, so it stays operable in rain, but the outlet end is not waterproof and must be kept dry.
