Kanto TUKMW 5.25" Powered Bookshelf Pair

The Kanto TUKMW is a pair of powered bookshelf speakers finished in matte white. Each cabinet houses a 5.25 inch aluminium driver and an AMT tweeter driven by 130W total RMS power. Built-in amplification removes the need for a separate receiver.

Ideal for desktop or living-room stereo

These speakers suit listeners who want multiple wired and wireless sources in one compact system. Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX HD and AAC handles streaming, while optical TOSLINK, phono RCA and USB DAC inputs cover TV, turntable and computer. A subwoofer output with an 80Hz crossover extends low-end reach. Buyers needing Wi-Fi multiroom or HDMI connectivity should consider other systems.

130W RMS and 4 Ohm nominal impedance

The amplifiers deliver 130W total RMS into a 4 Ohm load, setting the maximum clean output level for the pair. This figure determines whether the system can reach the desired volume in your room without distortion.

Questions about this item

Will the TUKMW's built-in phono preamp and optical input let me keep using my turntable and older CD player together?

Yes — the speakers provide dedicated phono RCA and optical TOSLINK inputs so both sources can stay connected at the same time.

How can I confirm the AMT tweeters and 5.25 aluminum drivers are performing correctly after setup?

Play a familiar track and listen for clean highs up to 20 kHz, solid bass down to 50 Hz, and a wide soundstage from the AMT tweeters at normal listening levels.

Which cables and accessories come in the box with the TUKMW pair, and what must I source separately?

The pair includes the active and passive speakers, a remote control, speaker wire for linking them, a power cord, an RCA cable and an optical cable; any subwoofer cable or additional interconnects are separate.
