Compact desktop audio system

The Kanto YU2MW powered speakers ship as a matched pair with S2 angled stands. Each cabinet houses a 3 inch composite driver and a 3/4 inch silk dome tweeter driven by a built-in Class D amplifier. A USB DAC and 3.5 mm AUX input provide direct connection to computers, phones or other sources. The matte white finish and low-profile stands suit tight desk spaces.

Best for near-field listening.

These speakers suit gamers, streamers and home-office users who sit close to the screen and want clear mids and highs without a separate DAC. The 80Hz low-frequency limit means bass enthusiasts or anyone wanting cinematic rumble will need a powered subwoofer. Buyers who need Bluetooth, optical input or a remote control should look at other models.

Fits a minimal desk, leaves room for peripherals

The stands add 16 degrees of upward tilt so drivers aim at ear level while the cabinets sit flat. Each stand measures 3.90 by 5.30 by 1.30 inches and supports up to 6 lbs, keeping the footprint small. A 10 foot speaker wire links the active and passive units, and a 6.5 foot AUX cable reaches most laptops. The USB connection draws audio and power from the same port, freeing a wall outlet.

Questions about this item

Do I need a separate amplifier or receiver to use the YU2MW speakers?

No, the YU2MW has a built-in Class D amplifier and connects directly to a computer USB port or 3.5 mm AUX source.

Will the 16° tilt of the included S2 stands aim the 3/4" silk dome tweeters toward my ears at desk height?

Yes, the S2 stands provide a fixed 16° upward angle that directs the YU2MW tweeters toward a seated listener.

How can I verify the built-in USB DAC is active and receiving a digital signal from my PC?

The front LED indicator lights when the USB connection is recognised and audio is streaming through the internal DAC.
