Compact powered speakers with stands

The Kanto YU2MW is a pair of powered bookshelf speakers finished in matte white. Each unit uses a 3" composite driver and a 3/4" silk dome tweeter driven by a built-in Class D amplifier. A USB DAC and a 3.5 mm AUX input handle source switching. The included S2W stands add 16 degrees of upward tilt for near-field listening at a desk.

Upgrade from basic monitor audio

These speakers replace the thin sound of integrated monitor speakers or entry-level USB models. The dedicated amplifier and tuned rear bass port extend low-frequency response down to 80 Hz. The jump is worth it when you want clearer dialogue in games, richer music playback, or the option to add a powered subwoofer later.

Desktop-ready stereo pair

The cabinets measure 3.90" wide, 5.30" deep and 5.90" high, leaving a small footprint on most desks. AC power runs to one speaker, then a supplied 10' cable links the second. The USB connection draws digital audio directly from a computer without an external sound card. Rubber feet and foam-padded stands isolate vibration from the surface.

Questions about this item

How much desk space do the 3.90" x 5.30" speakers and 1.30"-high stands occupy?

Each speaker measures 3.90" wide by 5.30" deep and 5.90" tall; the matching S2W stands add only 1.30" of height and share the same 3.90" x 5.30" footprint, so the pair fits on a shallow desk.

Which cables plug into the USB DAC and 3.5 mm AUX inputs on the powered speaker?

Connect the supplied USB cable from your computer to the USB DAC port for digital audio, or run the included 6.5' 3.5 mm AUX cable from any headphone jack to the analogue input; both cables are in the box.

When should the 10' speaker wire between the active and passive cabinets be replaced?

The 10' wire is a passive copper link; swap it only if the insulation is damaged, the connectors become loose, or you need a longer run for a wider desk layout.
