Edifier r1280db-wood home audio speaker

What the speakers are and who they suit

The Edifier R1280DB Wood bookshelf pair is a self-powered stereo system with a built-in 21-watt-per-channel amplifier. Bluetooth, optical, coaxial and dual RCA inputs let you connect a phone, TV, computer or turntable without an external receiver. A side-panel knob and the included remote give quick control over volume, bass and treble.

Capacity and headroom — 42 W RMS total

Combined output reaches 42 W RMS from a 4-inch bass driver and 13 mm silk dome tweeter, which is ample for near-field listening at a desk or in a small living room. The cabinets stay clean at moderate levels but will compress when pushed hard in larger spaces or at party volume.

Interface limits — optical, coaxial.

Optical and coaxial inputs accept standard PCM stereo streams from TVs, consoles or disc players but do not decode multi-channel formats. Bluetooth handles wireless streaming from phones or tablets, while the two RCA pairs allow permanent analogue connections. No HDMI, USB audio or subwoofer output is provided.
