The Kanto YU6WALNUT is a pair of powered bookshelf speakers with a built-in Class D amplifier rated at 200W peak and 100W RMS. Each cabinet uses a 5.25" Kevlar driver and a 1" silk dome tweeter in a rear-ported bamboo enclosure. Bluetooth 4.0 with Qualcomm aptX, optical TOSLINK, RCA, 3.5mm AUX and a USB charge port provide multiple source options. A phono preamp lets you connect a turntable directly without extra gear.

Built-in phono preamp for direct turntable

The integrated phono preamp is the specification that decides if this pair suits your system. It accepts a moving-magnet cartridge signal straight from a turntable, removing the need for a separate phono stage or a receiver with a dedicated phono input. If your source is already line-level or digital, the preamp is simply bypassed via the other inputs.

Plug into AC power and add sources.

Each speaker connects to a universal 100V–240V AC supply, so the pair operates without an external amplifier or receiver. The active speaker drives the passive unit via the included speaker wire. A subwoofer output allows low-frequency extension when desired. The supplied infrared remote controls volume, input selection, tone, balance and Bluetooth playback from the listening position.
