Kastar NP-FH50 AC Wall Charger

This Kastar AC wall charger powers compatible Sony NP-FH series lithium-ion batteries. It accepts a universal AC input from 100 to 240 volts and delivers a DC output of 8.4 volts at 600 milliamps. A foldable flat plug makes the unit compact for travel or storage.

Replaces lost or damaged Sony chargers

The charger works with NP-FH30, NP-FH40, NP-FH50, NP-FH70 and NP-FH100 battery packs. It supports a wide range of Sony Cyber-shot, Alpha DSLR and Handycam models listed in the compatibility data. The jump is worth it when the original wall adapter is missing or the fixed-prong design blocks adjacent outlets.

Check battery model and camera compatibility

Verify that your battery carries one of the NP-FH model numbers above before ordering. Confirm your camera or camcorder appears in the supported device list. The charger provides LED indication with red for charging and green for standby or full charge.

Questions about this item

What wall-space clearance does the foldable flat plug need?

The charger measures 3 by 2 by 1 inch and its foldable flat plug lies flush against the outlet, so it fits behind furniture or in tight power strips without blocking adjacent sockets.

How do I install the charger and which LED colour confirms it is working?

Plug the unit directly into a 100–240 V AC outlet, insert a compatible NP-FH series battery, and watch for a red LED; green means the battery is full or the charger is on standby.

When should I replace the charger if the LED behaviour changes?

If the red light never appears while a known-good battery is inserted, or the green light stays on immediately with a depleted pack, the internal 8.4 V 600 mA charging circuit has likely failed and the unit should be replaced.
