Quadruple charger for Canon BP-series batteries

The Kastar charger accepts four Canon BP-827, BP-819 or BP-809 cells at once. It suits videographers who run multiple VIXIA camcorders and want a single station to keep every pack topped up between shoots.

Replaces single-bay Canon CG-800 units

Instead of juggling several one-at-a-time chargers, this unit fills four slots from one USB source. The upgrade makes sense when a production day demands more charged spares than a single bay can cycle overnight.

Charges four packs at 500 mA each, two at 800 mA

Output drops to 500 mA per channel when all four bays are occupied, so a full cycle takes longer than on a dual-bay charger. Users who need the fastest possible turnaround for two batteries will find the quad mode slower.

Questions about this item

What are the physical dimensions of this charger?

The unit measures 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches, so it fits on a desk or in a gear bag without taking much space.

How do I power the charger and which input do I use first?

Connect either the Micro-USB or the Type-C port to a 5 V, 2–3 A source; the included Type-C cable works with the Type-C input.

When should I expect to replace the interchangeable charging plates?

Swap plates only if the contacts wear or a different Canon BP-series battery is needed; the charger itself has no user-replaceable parts.
