Quadruple USB Charger for Canon BP-827/819/809

This Kastar charger powers four compatible Canon camcorder batteries simultaneously. It suits videographers who keep multiple BP-827, BP-819 or BP-809 packs in rotation. The unit accepts Micro-USB or USB-C input and includes a USB-C cable. Interchangeable plates let you adapt the bays for other battery types.

Thermals and Power Draw

The charger draws up to 15 W from a 5 V 2–3 A source. Output is 8.4 V at 800 mA for one or two batteries, dropping to 500 mA each when three or four are loaded. An intelligent display shows charging status and remaining capacity per bay. No active cooling is mentioned in the specifications.

Build and Connectivity

The compact housing measures 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches. Dual input ports (Micro-USB and USB-C) give flexibility with power banks, wall adapters or laptop ports. The swappable plate system means a single charger can cover different Canon battery form factors. Buyers needing to charge more than four packs at once or requiring a dedicated AC cord will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the charger to power and which cable do I use?

Plug the supplied Type‑C cable into the USB‑C port or use a Micro‑USB cable in the Micro‑USB port, then connect to a 5V 2‑3A 15W USB power source.

What parts wear out and will need replacing later?

The interchangeable battery plates can wear with repeated swaps; the charger unit itself has no user‑serviceable parts.

How fast does it charge when all four slots are full?

With three or four batteries inserted the output drops to 8.4V 500mA per slot, so each cell charges more slowly than with one or two batteries.
