Universal Tablet Mount for Tripods

The KDD KDD-046 is a spring-loaded clamp that grips tablets and phones from 5.3 to 10.6 inches wide. It attaches to any standard 1/4"-20 thread on tripods, selfie sticks or ring lights. A metal ball head provides 360-degree rotation for portrait or landscape orientation. Non-slip rubber pads protect devices from scratches and slippage during use.

Suited for Creators Needing One Versatile Clamp

This mount serves remote teachers, vloggers and meeting participants who switch between an iPad Pro 12.9, a Galaxy Tab or a large smartphone. It is not for users who require a built-in tripod, a cold-shoe for microphones or a quick-release plate system. Buyers wanting to mount devices wider than 10.6 inches or heavier professional rigs should look at larger dedicated cages.

Integrates with Existing 1/4"-20 Gear

Two 1/4" screw holes on the base and rear let you fasten the adapter directly to tripods, gimbals or lighting stands without extra plates. The ball head locks with a single knob, freeing you from carrying a separate pan-tilt head. Because the clamp opens to 10.6 inches, it accommodates most current tablets in one unit, reducing the number of accessories in a kit bag.

Questions about this item

Which tripod thread does the KDD-046 need to attach to?

The adapter has two standard 1/4"-20 screw holes on the bottom and back of the base for mounting to any tripod, gimbal, selfie stick or ring light with a matching 1/4" thread.

Will my 12.9-inch iPad Pro fit in the clamp?

Yes, the spring-loaded jaws open from 5.3 to 10.6 inches, so the 12.9-inch iPad Pro fits in horizontal orientation; phones and smaller tablets mount vertically.

How do I know the ball head is holding the angle I set?

Tighten the locking knob on the metal ball head; when the knob is secure the iPad stays fixed at any 360-degree rotation between portrait and landscape without drifting.
