- Converts 12 V to 5 V for cameras and RV gear
- Delivers up to 3 A at 15 W for stable power
- Over 95 % conversion efficiency keeps heat low
- IP-rated case resists water, dust and shock
- Built-in over-current, over-temp, reverse and short-circuit protection
Purpose and audience
The KEHIPI pack supplies two 12V to 5V step-down converters rated at 3A and 15W. They suit DIY builders powering cameras, LED strips, fans or similar 5V loads from a 12V or 9V source in automotive, RV or solar projects.
Pre-installation checks
Verify that your supply stays within the 8V to 35V input window and never exceeds 22V, otherwise the module will burn. Confirm the load draws no more than 3A at 5V. Identify the red and black input leads and the yellow and black output leads before soldering or crimping.
Thermals, noise and power
Natural cooling through the aluminium case keeps heat low thanks to over 95% conversion efficiency. No fan means silent operation. The unit carries over-current, over-temperature, reverse-input and short-circuit protection, plus waterproof, dust-proof and shock-proof sealing for harsh environments.

Questions about this item
What comes in the pack and do I need to buy any cables or connectors separately?
The pack contains two complete step-down converters, each with 13-14 cm input and output wires already attached. No extra cables or connectors are required.
Both converters are identical, so is there any difference between the two that would affect which one I install first?
Both units share the same 8-35 V input range, fixed 5 V output, 3 A current limit and 15 W power rating, so either can be used in any position.
With a 12 V vehicle supply, what real-world output can I expect at the 3 A rating?
At 12 V input the converter delivers a steady 5 V at up to 3 A, with conversion efficiency over 95 % and built-in over-current, over-temperature, reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection.
