50-foot Toslink optical cable

The KEHIPI 50-foot Toslink digital optical audio cable carries S/PDIF signals between compatible source devices and receivers. It uses a fibre-optic core with 24K gold-plated connectors to transmit uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround formats including Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution and LPCM. The 2.2-millimetre outer diameter makes the cable easy to route in tight spaces.

Home-theatre and console owners needing long runs

This cable suits users who need a 50-foot optical link for sound bars, TVs, PS4, Xbox, Blu-ray players or other Toslink-equipped gear. The slim profile and removable dust caps simplify installation behind furniture or inside conduit. Buyers who require coaxial digital, HDMI-based audio return or analogue RCA connections should choose a different cable type. Installations longer than the supplied length will need an active extender or alternative solution.

50-foot length with 2.2-millimetre diameter

The single specification that decides fit is the 50-foot length combined with a 2.2-millimetre outer diameter. This determines whether the cable reaches between your components and can be concealed along skirting boards or through cable-management channels. Gold-plated connectors and PVC jacketing support signal integrity and durability over that distance.

Questions about this item

Which devices must already have a Toslink (S/PDIF) port for this 50 ft cable to work?

The cable connects any two components that each provide a standard Toslink optical port — sound bars, TVs, PS4, Xbox, Blu-ray players, game consoles, DACs or AV receivers — so both source and destination need that port.

Will the 2.2 mm ultra-slim fibre run beside older, thicker optical cables without signal loss?

Yes, each cable carries its own light signal independently; the thin 2.2 mm jacket simply makes routing easier and does not degrade the digital audio travelling through adjacent legacy cables.

How can I confirm the 24 K gold-plated connectors are passing uncompressed PCM or 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound correctly?

Play a known multichannel test file; the receiver should display the matching format (PCM, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution or LPCM) and all channels should be audible without drop-outs.
