Fixed 12V PD trigger for USB-C projects
This pack contains five PDC004-PD decoy modules that negotiate a fixed 12 V output from any USB Power Delivery source. Each unit uses a 2721 hardware PD chip that cannot be reprogrammed or upgraded. The modules are intended for makers powering electronic projects or converting legacy hardware to USB-C input.
Limited to 12 V with PD sources only
The decoy requests 12 V; if the connected charger does not support that voltage the source will fall back to its next lower level. Operation requires a genuine USB PD power supply and will not work with Quick Charge or other proprietary protocols. To draw currents above 3 A an electronically marked USB-C cable must be used.
Compact board rated for harsh environments
Each board measures 17.6 by 10.2 by 4.2 mm and is specified for an operating range of -25 to 85 °C at 5 to 95 % relative humidity. The Type-C female receptacle accepts standard cables while the fixed-voltage design prevents VBUS-to-CC short-circuit damage during testing. Five identical units are supplied in the pack.

Questions about this item
How do I know which version of the PDC004-PD module to choose?
This pack contains five identical 12V fixed-voltage decoy modules; there are no alternative versions or capacities to select.
What voltage will the module actually deliver when connected to a USB-C power source?
It requests 12V via PD negotiation; if the charger does not support 12V it will fall back to the next lowest voltage the supply offers.
Does the USB-C input require a special cable or standard to reach the rated 5A?
An electronically marked USB-C cable is needed for currents above 3A, and the source must support USB Power Delivery; Quick Charge-only chargers will not work.
