KICKER 12-Inch Down-Firing Subwoofer Enclosure

This loaded enclosure houses a 12-inch Comp subwoofer in a down-firing design. It delivers 150 watts RMS power handling with a peak capacity of 300 watts. The sealed box fits in a trunk or cargo area and requires no separate grille.

4-Ohm Impedance Matches Compatible Amplifiers

The subwoofer presents a 4-ohm load to the amplifier. Your amplifier must be stable at 4 ohms and capable of delivering approximately 150 watts RMS into that impedance. An amplifier with significantly lower or higher output will not provide optimal performance.

Simple Wiring With Secure Connectors

The enclosure includes integrated connectors for straightforward speaker-wire attachment. The down-firing orientation protects the cone from cargo damage but requires a few inches of clearance above the floor. Ensure the amplifier gain is set correctly to avoid overdriving the 150-watt RMS limit.

Questions about this item

How loud does the 150 W RMS rating actually get in a car trunk?

The 150 W RMS rating means the subwoofer handles continuous power at that level, producing deep bass down to 27 Hz for strong low-end impact in a trunk or cargo area.

What does the 4-ohm impedance mean for amplifier matching?

The 4-ohm impedance lets you pair this enclosure with most mono amplifiers stable at 4 ohms, delivering up to 150 W RMS without wiring complications.

Will the 14-3/16 by 7-7/8 by 22-7/8 inch box fit in my sedan trunk?

The down-firing enclosure measures 14-3/16 inches wide, 7-7/8 inches tall and 22-7/8 inches long, designed to fit tight cargo spaces while resisting stacking weight.
