Portable CD player with 14-hour battery

The KLIM Nomad is a new portable CD player that includes KLIM Fusion wired earphones, a carry pouch and a USB-C charging cable. It supports standard audio CDs and MP3 discs, and adds FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity. A 3.5 mm headphone jack and a second 3.5 mm audio port allow two listeners to plug in at the same time. The backlit LCD screen shows track information and battery status.

Replaces battery-powered discmans

The rechargeable battery removes the cost and waste of disposable cells while delivering 14 hours of playback. Anti-shock protection preloads 100 seconds of audio to prevent skips during movement, making the unit suitable for commuting, sport or car use via the AUX input. Buyers who need slot-loading mechanisms or support for high-resolution audio files beyond MP3 will not find those features here.

Sustained playback with skip protection

During extended sessions the anti-shock buffer continuously reads ahead to keep output steady when the player is moved. The rechargeable cell maintains a consistent voltage curve across the full 14-hour span rather than fading like alkaline packs. Bluetooth streaming and FM reception draw from the same battery, so mixed use reduces total runtime proportionally. The 0.22 kg chassis stays cool without active cooling.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 14.5 in by 14.5 in by 2.8 in player need on a shelf or in a bag?

The unit measures 14.5 in wide, 14.5 in deep and 2.8 in high, so allow at least that footprint plus a little clearance for the lid to open and for cables.

What is the first step to start using the KLIM Nomad, and what do people often forget?

Charge the built‑in battery fully via the USB‑C cable before first use; many users skip this and think the player is faulty when it will not turn on.

How long will the rechargeable battery last before it needs replacing, and can I swap it myself?

The internal battery delivers about 14 hours per charge; it is not user‑replaceable, so when runtime drops noticeably the whole unit must be serviced.
