SKU CH-J29W-95C2B

Floor-standing speaker with an enlarged horn for a wider soundstage, dual rear-firing Tractrix ports, and Linear Travel Suspension to minimise distortion

  • Larger soundstage with increased horn size
  • Minimised distortion via Linear Travel Suspension
  • Enhanced clarity from vented tweeter housing
  • Efficient high-frequency transfer with Tractrix geometry
  • Deep bass via dual-chamber rear-firing Tractrix ports

Product identity

The Klipsch RP-8000FWII is a single walnut floor-standing speaker built for stereo or home-theatre systems that demand high-efficiency horn-loaded sound. It suits listeners who want a large soundstage and detailed high frequencies from a traditional tower design.

Installation notes

Place the cabinet on a stable floor with clearance behind the dual rear-firing Tractrix ports so bass reflex output can develop without boundary interference. The divided enclosure and extra bracing reduce cabinet resonance, but the speaker must be positioned away from walls to avoid boomy low-end response.

Interface limits

The passive design requires an external amplifier capable of driving the Cerametallic woofers and LTS titanium tweeter without clipping. Horn loading raises sensitivity, yet the rear port tuning means low-frequency extension depends on room placement and amplifier control rather than a built-in crossover network.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the larger horn is delivering a wider soundstage after setup?

Listen for a broader, more immersive front stage and precise imaging from the enlarged horn; the vented tweeter housing should yield clean high-frequency detail without harshness, while the Cerametallic woofers provide tight, controlled bass from the dual-chamber rear-firing Tractrix ports.

What is included in the box and what must be purchased separately?

The package contains one Klipsch RP-8000FWII floor-standing speaker in walnut finish; speaker cable, amplifier or receiver, and any stands or wall brackets are not included and must be bought separately.

Which version of the RP-8000FWII should I choose for my room?

The RP-8000FWII is offered as a single walnut floor-standing speaker; select the quantity needed for your configuration — one for a centre or single-channel role, two for stereo, or more for multi-channel surround.
