Kodak E1040 flatbed scanner for document workflows

The Kodak E1040 is a flatbed scanner built for office document workflows. It captures 24-bit colour at 600 dpi optical resolution. An 80-sheet automatic document feeder handles duplex scanning in a single pass. USB 3.2 connectivity links directly to a host PC.

Sustained throughput with 80-sheet ADF

The 80-sheet feeder supports continuous batch scanning at 40 ppm for both mono and colour jobs. Duplex capture processes both sides without reloading pages. The mechanism maintains rated speed across long runs rather than peaking only on the first few sheets. This steady rate keeps large archives moving without operator pauses.

USB 3.2 interface sets the data ceiling

USB 3.2 provides the sole data path between scanner and computer. Bandwidth limits how fast 600 dpi 24-bit frames can transfer during sustained duplex capture. Very large batches may fill host buffers if the system cannot consume data quickly enough. No alternative video or network interfaces are present on this model.

Questions about this item

How much power does the E1040 draw when scanning continuously all day?

The scanner connects through a single USB 3.2 cable, so it runs on bus power without a separate mains adapter.

Which cable and port must I already have for the E1040 to work?

You need a free USB 3.2 Type-A port and the supplied USB 3.2 cable; no extra power brick or special driver disc is required.

Will the E1040 duplex ADF handle the mixed paper sizes I already archive?

The 80-sheet automatic document feeder accepts A4 and smaller pages, feeding both sides in one pass at up to 40 ppm.
