12 ft Cat6 Snagless Ethernet Cable

This 12 ft Category 6 patch cable connects network devices, workstations and hubs with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion while the snagless, moulded boots protect the locking tabs during repeated insertion. Stranded 24 AWG conductors keep the cable flexible for routing around desks or through cable-management channels. The orange jacket makes the run easy to identify in busy racks.

Suits fixed desk or rack runs.

Installers who need a permanent, colour-coded 12 ft link will appreciate the strain-relief design and lifetime warranty. Builders who require longer reach, outdoor rating or shielded construction for high-interference environments should select a different cable type. The stranded core favours stationary patching rather than constant coiling and uncoiling on a mobile cart.

12 ft length decides fit

Measure the exact path between the two RJ-45 ports before ordering; the 12 ft figure includes the connectors and cannot be shortened without re-termination. If the run is shorter, excess slack adds clutter; if it is longer, the cable simply will not reach. No other specification overrides this physical constraint.

Questions about this item

What RJ-45 ports must my router and computer already have for this Cat 6 cable to connect them?

Both devices need a standard RJ-45 female network port; the cable carries a male RJ-45 connector on each end.

Will this Cat 6 patch cable work with my older Cat 5e wall jacks and switch ports?

Yes, Cat 6 is backward compatible with Cat 5e infrastructure and will negotiate the highest speed both ends support.

How can I confirm the gold-plated connectors are seated correctly after I plug the cable in?

The snagless boots click audibly when the RJ-45 plugs lock into place, and the link lights on both ports should illuminate.
