Spray Primer for Industrial Use

Krylon Industrial K01317A07 is a solvent-based alkyd enamel primer in a 14 oz aerosol can. It is formulated for professionals and maintenance teams who need a ruddy brown flat finish on prepared metal or wood surfaces. The product ships new and is restricted from sale in certain states due to chemical content warnings.

Dry Times and Application Conditions

The primer reaches a tack-free state in 1 hr and can be handled after 12 min under normal conditions. Solvent-based carrier ensures consistent atomisation during spraying. Net weight of the filled can is 12 oz. California Proposition 65 warnings indicate the presence of chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Included Components and Compliance Notes

The package contains the single spray can with no additional brushes, rollers or cleaning accessories. Free shipping applies on orders of $75 or more when fulfilled by the supplier. Buyers needing a different colour, a gloss finish or a water-based formula should select an alternative product.

Questions about this item

How do I apply this spray primer and which step is most often missed?

Shake the can thoroughly after the mixing ball rattles, hold it upright, and spray in even strokes; the step most people skip is shaking long enough to fully mix the alkyd enamel.

What maintenance or replacement will this 14 oz can require later?

The can is single-use; once the 12 oz net weight of solvent-based primer is spent, you replace it with a new can.

What limit appears first during continuous spraying?

The 12 oz net fill runs out before the 12-minute tack-free dry time becomes a factor.
