1080p Dome Camera for Coax Systems

The KT&C KEZ-c2DI28V12IRW is a 2 megapixel analog dome camera that delivers 1080p or 720p resolution over coaxial cable. It targets installers who need a varifocal lens and long-range infrared illumination for HD-TVI or CVBS recorders.

Dual Voltage and Long Cable Runs

The camera accepts DC12V or AC24V power, giving flexibility when matching existing supply infrastructure. It transmits video over RG59 beyond 1000 feet, RG6 beyond 1500 feet, or UTP beyond 500 feet with an optional balun pair, reducing the need for intermediate repeaters.

Varifocal Lens and Smart IR

A 2.8-12mm aspheric lens lets installers adjust the field of view on site without swapping modules. Twenty-four IR LEDs provide true day/night operation to 66 feet, while Smart IR automatically balances exposure to prevent hot spots from close-range reflections.

Questions about this item

How far can the camera see at night with its 24 IR LEDs?

The 24 IR LEDs provide a true day/night zero-light operating range of 66 feet or more, depending on scene reflectivity, and Smart IR automatically adjusts exposure to prevent bright spots or reflections.

Does the camera run hot or use much power on dual voltage?

The camera operates on DC12V or AC24V dual voltage; no heat dissipation or power consumption figures are given, but the varifocal lens and IR array are designed for continuous surveillance use.

What cable and recorder do I need to install this dome camera?

It connects via BNC coax — over 1000 feet on RG59, over 1500 feet on RG6, or 500 feet on UTP with an optional KA-HDBAL1 balun pair — and works with OMNI EZHD recorders or other Coaxitron-compatible equipment for up-the-cable control.
