Kit Contents and Intended Users

This kit supplies a 20W mini glue gun and 30 compatible glue sticks in a pink finish. It is aimed at hobbyists, students and light-duty repair tasks around the home or classroom. The corded electric design suits indoor use where a mains socket is available. Buyers needing cordless freedom or higher-volume output should look elsewhere.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The PTC ceramic heater reaches working temperature in one to two minutes and then holds a constant temperature during operation. The manufacturer advises resting the tool for three to five minutes after each hour of continuous use to avoid overheating. An anti-drip nozzle and insulated body reduce glue waste and keep the trigger feeding smoothly during longer sessions.

Installation and Common Issues

Setup is limited to inserting a 0.28inch (7mm) stick, plugging in the gun and flipping the on-off switch; the metal stand keeps the hot nozzle off the work surface. The main pitfalls are forgetting the recommended rest period, which can trip the thermal protection, and attempting to force sticks that are not 7mm diameter, which will jam the feed mechanism.

Questions about this item

How hot does the 20W glue gun get during long crafting sessions?

The PTC ceramic heater reaches working temperature in 1 to 2 minutes and then holds a constant temperature; the maker advises a 3 to 5 minute rest after each hour of continuous use.

What glue-stick size must I already have to use the gun?

The gun accepts standard 0.28inch (7mm) diameter sticks; the kit includes 30 clear sticks of that size.

Will the corded electric gun reach a project on an older workbench without an extension lead?

The unit is mains-powered with a fixed cord, so the reach is limited to the cable length supplied; an extension lead may be needed for distant sockets.
