47-50 MHz Lowband Base Antenna

This Laird Technologies antenna covers the 47-50 MHz low band frequency range with unity gain. It is a quarter-wave DC ground base loaded design built for base station installations. The 49 in tapered whip handles up to 500 W of power. An attractive black and chrome coil completes the assembly.

NMO Mount and Ground Plane Required

The antenna requires an NMO mount for installation, which must be ordered separately. A metal ground plane is also required for proper operation. Without these two components the antenna will not function correctly. An optional spring can also be added to the order if needed.

Verify Mounting Location and Power Rating

Before ordering, confirm that your mounting location can provide a suitable metal ground plane. Ensure the NMO mount you select matches the intended mounting surface. Check that your transmitter output does not exceed the 500 W rating of this antenna.
