Lantronix SLC 8000 Modular Console Server

The Lantronix SLC 8000 advanced console manager provides secure out-of-band management for IT infrastructure. It offers 48 ports for connecting serial console equipment. The modular design allows scalability for growing network environments. Dual DC power supplies support continuous operation.

Suited For Centralised Serial Device Administration

System administrators and test engineers can monitor, manage and troubleshoot connected hardware from any location. Access is available through Telnet, SSH or a web browser console client without proprietary software. The platform suits teams needing a single interface for local and remote console control. It does not suit buyers who require integrated wireless routing or wireless client connectivity.

48 Port Capacity With Dual DC Redundancy

The unit delivers 48 dedicated serial ports for dense device deployments. Dual DC power inputs provide supply redundancy for high-availability requirements. This port count and power configuration determine whether the appliance matches the target rack density and resilience needs.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 48-port model over a smaller console manager?

The 48-port model suits environments needing simultaneous out-of-band access to many serial devices from one unit.

What does the 8000 series designation mean for daily administration?

It identifies a modular platform that centralises secure remote access to IT equipment via browser or SSH.

How does the dual DC supply affect uptime in a rack?

Dual DC inputs let you feed separate power sources so the manager stays online if one feed fails.
