Gaming laptop for AI workloads

The Lenovo Legion 5 is a new 15.1 inch laptop built around an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU. It targets users who need strong single-thread speed and dedicated graphics for gaming, content creation or local AI inference. The system ships with Windows 11 Home and a 24-zone RGB backlit keyboard.

32GB DDR5 memory and 2TB storage

This unit comes configured with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD. The memory amount decides whether the machine can hold large models or heavy multitasking workloads without paging. The board supports up to 64GB DDR5 SODIMM and up to 4TB PCIe M.2 SSD if the buyer plans to upgrade later.

A lithium-ion battery is rated for up to 10 hours of life on a single charge. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 for high-throughput, low-latency links. The chassis includes USB 3.0 Type-A, USB Type-C, HDMI, Ethernet and a combo audio jack for wired peripherals.

Questions about this item

How does the i9-14900HX's 5.8 GHz turbo speed behave inside this laptop?

The processor reaches 5.80 GHz on turbo for short bursts, while the 20-core design and 36 MB L3 cache sustain high throughput during extended gaming or rendering sessions.

What does the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) connection cap at in real use?

Wi-Fi 7 supports multi-link operation and wider channels, so actual throughput depends on your router and environment rather than a fixed ceiling.

Will the 15.1-inch chassis fit in a standard laptop sleeve?

The body measures 13.58 x 13.94 x 14.13 inches and weighs 4.19 lbs, so compare those dimensions with your sleeve's internal space before buying.
