Business Ultrabook for Mobile Professionals

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is a new 13.0 inch laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8565U processor with 16GB of memory. It ships with Linux Mint installed and uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. The gray aluminum chassis weighs 2.9 lbs and includes a backlit keyboard with ThinkPad UltraNav touchpad.

Quad-Core Performance and PCIe Storage

The i7-8565U provides four cores reaching 4.6 GHz, paired with a 256GB NVMe PCIe SSD for the operating system and applications. This combination determines whether the system meets workload demands for compilation, multitasking or virtual machines. The 1920 x 1080 IPS panel offers a 180 degree hinge for flat collaboration.

Linux Mint and Security Features

Linux Mint replaces a commercial Windows licence, reducing recurring cost and giving immediate access to open-source toolchains. A discrete TPM encrypts data at rest while a physical webcam cover blocks the lens mechanically. Bluetooth 4.1 connects peripherals and the USB Type-C port supports audio and video output.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.6 GHz boost clock behave in daily workloads?

The i7-8565U can reach 4.6 GHz for short bursts, then settles at lower speeds once thermal limits are hit, so sustained tasks run at base-clock levels.

What can the USB Type-C port drive?

The single USB Type-C port carries data, audio and video, allowing one external display or docking station without extra adapters.

What are the chassis dimensions and weight for bag fit?

The 13.0-inch aluminum body weighs 2.9 lbs and uses a 180-degree zinc-alloy hinge, so it slides into most 13-inch sleeves.
