Compact all-in-one for office work

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q combines a 24 inch FHD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running up to 4.1 GHz. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 128 GB SSD provide responsive performance for everyday business applications. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and ready to use.

65 W processor in a micro chassis

The i5-8500 has a 65 W thermal design power that the tiny form factor dissipates without excessive fan noise during typical productivity tasks. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle standard video output without adding discrete GPU heat. Power draw remains modest for continuous daily operation.

Bundled peripherals and connectivity

A USB keyboard and mouse are included so the system works immediately after unboxing. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides 5 GHz wireless capability without internal antenna installation. The built-in DVD-ROM drive adds legacy media support for archives or software installers.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 16 GB DDR4 UDIMM in the 240-pin DIMM slots of this M720q Tiny?

Power off the unit, remove the chassis cover, align the notch on the 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM with the slot key, press firmly until the retention clips snap shut, then replace the cover and power on.

What maintenance or replacement will the 128 GB 2.5" SSD and DVD-ROM need later?

The 128 GB 2.5" SSD has no moving parts and requires no routine service; the DVD-ROM may need a lens clean or drive swap if disc reading fails after extended use.

What limit appears first when the Intel Core i5-8500 runs sustained workloads at its 65 W TDP in this micro chassis?

The 65 W processor thermal envelope in the compact Tiny form factor causes the cooling solution to hit its capacity first, triggering frequency throttling to maintain safe temperatures.
