Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a micro form factor desktop powered by an Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive configuration of a 256 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Build integration

The tiny chassis occupies minimal desk space and includes a USB keyboard and mouse, leaving only a monitor to be supplied by the buyer. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive display outputs without a discrete card, while a USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle provides wireless connectivity. A DVD-ROM drive remains available for legacy media.

Sustained operation

The 65 W processor is cooled within the compact enclosure to maintain performance across extended workloads. DDR4 memory supports multitasking up to the installed 16 GB capacity. Dual solid-state storage keeps boot and data access responsive during long sessions.

Questions about this item

Will the 65 W i5-8500 throttle under continuous multi-core load in this Tiny chassis?

The 65 W processor is designed for the M720q thermal envelope; sustained all-core work runs at base 3.0 GHz with turbo up to 4.1 GHz as cooling allows.

How loud and hot does the system get when left on 24/7?

The micro form factor uses a small internal fan that stays audible but low-pitched; surface temperatures remain warm to the touch, not hot, during round-the-clock operation.

Do I need to supply my own display and cables to start working?

A monitor is not included; you must provide a display with HDMI or DisplayPort input and the matching cable, while USB keyboard and mouse are already in the box.
