Compact all-in-one desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny integrates a 22-inch Full HD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running up to 4.10 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Bundled peripherals and connectivity

A USB keyboard and mouse are included so the system is ready to use out of the box. Wireless networking is provided by a USB dongle capable of 5 GHz operation, while a DVD-ROM drive handles legacy optical media. The micro form factor case keeps the desk footprint small.

Capacity and headroom

The 256 GB SSD offers fast boot and application launch for typical office workloads, and the 16 GB DDR4 configuration supports multitasking across browser tabs, documents and video calls. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives the built-in panel but is not suited to demanding 3D or compute tasks. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB for additional headroom.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory be expanded to 32 GB later?

Yes, the platform supports DDR4 memory technology up to 32 GB, so the installed 16 GB can be increased by adding compatible modules.

What limits sustained performance of the i5-8500 in this 65 W tiny chassis?

The 65 W processor rating in a micro form factor means thermal constraints will throttle clocks before power delivery becomes the bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the M720q get when running all day?

The compact case and 65 W CPU generate noticeable heat under continuous load; fan speed rises to maintain temperatures, producing audible but not extreme noise.
