Compact All-in-One Desktop for Office Work

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny integrates a 22 inch FHD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD provide responsive multitasking and fast boot times. Windows 10 Pro, DVD-ROM, USB keyboard and mouse are included for immediate deployment. The micro form factor saves desk space in commercial environments.

Upgrade from Older All-in-Ones or Tower PCs

This unit replaces ageing all-in-one systems limited to dual-core processors and mechanical hard drives. The jump is worth it when daily workloads involve multiple browser tabs, office suites and video conferencing simultaneously. The hexa-core CPU and solid-state storage eliminate the bottlenecks that cause noticeable lag on previous-generation hardware. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard business visuals without a discrete card.

Sustained Load Behaviour in a Sealed Chassis

The 65 W processor operates inside a tiny chassis with limited airflow, so prolonged heavy compute tasks will trigger thermal throttling to maintain safe temperatures. Under continuous load the clock speed settles below the 4.10 GHz turbo figure, stabilising near the 3.0 GHz base frequency. Fan noise increases gradually rather than spiking. The system remains stable for typical office workloads but is not suited for extended rendering or compilation jobs.

Questions about this item

What size is the included display on this ThinkCentre M720q Tiny all-in-one?

The unit ships with a 22-inch Full HD IPS panel built into the chassis.

How is the Intel Core i5-8500 processor cooled inside the micro form-factor case?

The 65 W hexa-core CPU uses the integrated tiny-system fan assembly; the heatsink screws must be torqued in the diagonal sequence shown in the service guide or the chip will throttle.

Which storage drive will need replacement first, the 2.5-inch 1 TB SSD or the DVD-ROM?

The DVD-ROM has moving parts and a shorter rated lifespan, so it typically fails before the solid-state drive.
