Compact business desktop for office workloads

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an 8th-generation Intel Core i5-8500 processor with six cores running at up to 4.10 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 3.5-inch 1 TB hard drive, plus a DVD-ROM drive and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. A USB keyboard and mouse are included, and wireless connectivity is provided by a 5 GHz-capable USB dongle.

Sustained performance in a small chassis

The 65 W hexa-core CPU delivers consistent throughput for everyday business applications, web-based tools and multitasking across multiple browser tabs or office suites. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard display output without a discrete card, keeping thermal load predictable inside the compact case. The 32 GB DDR4 allocation supports smooth operation when several programs run simultaneously for extended periods.

Micro chassis with essential connectivity

The Tiny form factor measures a fraction of a traditional tower, allowing placement behind a monitor or on a crowded desk. Front and rear ports provide USB access for peripherals, while the included USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle adds wireless freedom without internal antenna routing. The 240-pin DDR4 slots and 3.5-inch drive bay remain accessible for future memory or storage upgrades. Not suited for users who need discrete graphics performance, multiple internal drive bays or expansion card slots.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 65 W i5-8500 get when the M720q runs all day?

The 65 W hexa-core processor is cooled inside the Tiny chassis; typical office workloads keep fan noise low and temperatures within normal desktop limits.

Which display cable do I need to connect a monitor to this unit?

The M720q provides DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, so a standard DP or HDMI cable matching your monitor will work.

Will my existing DDR4 UDIMM memory fit alongside the installed 32 GB if I want to expand?

The system uses 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM slots; any compatible DDR4 UDIMM module can be added to the free slot.
