Compact business desktop for office workloads

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a micro-form-factor desktop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running at 3.0 GHz with a 4.10 GHz turbo. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 512 GB M.2 solid-state drive plus a 1 TB hard drive, and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Fits tight spaces and standard peripherals

Its tiny chassis mounts behind a monitor or tucks into a desk cubby while accepting standard USB keyboard and mouse. The included USB wireless dongle adds 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth without occupying internal slots, leaving the M.2 and 2.5-inch bays available for the dual-drive configuration already installed.

Replaces bulky towers for general productivity

Organisations refreshing fleets of larger desktops gain equivalent multi-threaded throughput in a fraction of the volume. The jump is worthwhile when desk space is at a premium and workloads centre on office applications, web apps and light content creation rather than discrete graphics or heavy compute.

Questions about this item

What is the processor power limit during sustained workloads?

The Intel Core i5-8500 has a 65 W TDP, which defines its sustained power ceiling under continuous load.

How much noise and heat does the tiny chassis produce when running all day?

The 65 W processor and compact micro form factor mean the cooling fan will spin up under load, producing audible airflow and warm exhaust after extended use.

Does this unit include a display, or must I already own one?

No monitor is included; you will need to provide your own display with a compatible video input.
