Compact business desktop for office workflows

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor PC built around an 8th-generation Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running up to 4.10 GHz. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 256 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB SSD. A DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse are included.

Capacity and headroom for everyday workloads

The six-core CPU and 8 GB of DDR4 handle typical productivity suites, web-based apps and light multitasking without strain. The 256 GB M.2 drive holds the operating system and core programs while the 1 TB SSD provides room for large document libraries and local backups. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB when workloads grow beyond the factory configuration.

Upgrade path from older small-form-factor PCs

This unit replaces ageing tower or small-form-factor desktops that rely on mechanical hard drives and dual-core processors. The jump is worthwhile when faster boot times, snappier application launches and a smaller desk footprint matter. Buyers who need discrete graphics, more than 32 GB of RAM or additional internal drive bays should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 256 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB SSD fit alongside my existing DDR4 memory modules?

The system already includes 8 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory and supports up to 32 GB total, so your current DDR4 modules can be added if they match the 240-pin DIMM form factor.

How can I confirm the Intel UHD Graphics and hexa-core i5-8500 are performing correctly after setup?

Open Task Manager to verify six cores running up to 4.10 GHz and check Device Manager to ensure Intel UHD Graphics appears without errors.

Does the box contain the USB Wi-Fi dongle and wired keyboard and mouse, or must I buy them separately?

The package includes a USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse; a monitor is not included.
