Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny desktop PC is a micro-form-factor system built for office environments where desk space is limited. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, a USB keyboard and mouse, and a USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle for wireless connectivity. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives displays without a discrete card. This unit suits general productivity, web apps and multi-monitor setups.

Dual-drive storage limit

Storage combines a 512 GB M.2 solid-state drive for the operating system with a 1 TB hard drive for bulk data. The M.2 slot accepts one drive; the 2.5-inch bay holds the hard drive. No further internal drive bays or M.2 slots are provided, so total internal capacity is fixed at the shipped configuration. Optical media reads via the included DVD-ROM drive.

Memory ceiling at 32 GB

The platform supports DDR4 UDIMM memory up to 32 GB across two slots. The system arrives with 16 GB installed, leaving one slot free for a single-module upgrade. Buyers who need more than 32 GB of RAM must choose a different platform. The 65 W hexa-core processor runs at 3.0 GHz base with a 4.1 GHz maximum turbo frequency.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 512 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB HDD combination or a different drive setup?

This unit ships with a 512 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage, giving fast boot times and ample space for files.

What does the i5-8500 up to 4.10 GHz actually deliver in daily work?

The six-core i5-8500 runs at a 3.0 GHz base and can boost to 4.10 GHz, handling office multitasking and light content creation within its 65 W power envelope.

The 512 GB M.2 SSD uses the board’s M.2 slot, so its read and write rates follow the drive’s own specifications rather than a legacy hard-drive interface.
