Compact Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor that reaches 4.1 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2.5-inch 256 GB solid-state drive, plus Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. A USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle, keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Office and Light Workloads

This system suits small offices, reception desks or home workers who need a quiet, space-saving PC for document editing, web apps and video calls. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics and single DVD-ROM drive cover basic display and legacy media needs. Buyers who want more storage, discrete graphics or user-upgradeable expansion slots should look at something else.

Sustained Operation

The 65 W processor and tiny chassis are designed for steady, everyday workloads rather than prolonged heavy compute. Under continuous load the compact thermal solution will throttle clocks to stay within its power envelope, so performance settles below the 4.1 GHz peak. Fan noise remains low during typical office tasks but becomes audible when all six cores run flat out for extended periods.
