Compact business desktop with hexa-core i7

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s SFF desktop PC ships with an Intel Core i7-8700 processor running at 3.20 GHz with a 4.60 GHz turbo boost. It includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 512 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed alongside a USB keyboard, mouse and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle.

SFF chassis limits internal expansion

The small form factor case restricts the number of add-in cards and storage bays you can install compared with a full tower. The optical bay holds a DVD-ROM drive and the power supply is sized for the standard 65 W processor. Graphics output relies on the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 engine.

Verify display outputs and peripheral needs

Confirm the rear video ports match your monitor cables before ordering because no discrete graphics card is fitted. The single M.2 slot is already occupied by the 512 GB boot drive so additional M.2 storage cannot be added. Buyers who want more storage bays or a dedicated GPU should consider a larger chassis.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 512 GB M.2 drive or the 1 TB SSD for my operating system?

The 512 GB M.2 drive is where Windows 11 Pro is installed, so use it for the OS and key applications; the 1 TB SSD adds 1000 GB of extra space for files and larger programs.

What does the 4.60 GHz turbo frequency actually deliver in daily use?

The i7-8700 runs at a 3.20 GHz base and can reach 4.60 GHz on up to 6 cores when thermal headroom allows, giving short bursts of extra speed for heavy single-thread tasks.

Which video outputs does the Intel UHD Graphics 630 provide on this SFF chassis?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives the native display ports on the M720s small-form-factor case, supporting standard office monitors without a discrete card.
