Ultra-compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor desktop built for office environments where desk space is limited. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse, so it is ready for immediate deployment. This unit suits administrators who need a fleet-ready PC with a small physical footprint.

Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor

The system runs on an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 with six cores and twelve threads, a base frequency of 3.20 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.60 GHz. The 65 W thermal design power and 12 MB cache define the performance ceiling for everyday business workloads. This specification determines whether the machine meets your processing requirements.

Tool-less access with proprietary constraints

The Tiny chassis opens without tools, allowing quick access to the 16 GB DDR4 UDIMM and the 3.5-inch 1 TB hard drive. Memory can be expanded up to 32 GB using 240-pin DDR4 modules only. Builders should verify that any added storage fits the single 3.5-inch bay and that the 65 W processor limit is observed.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.60 GHz turbo speed of the i7-8700 perform in a real machine?

The six-core processor reaches 4.60 GHz on turbo boost for short bursts, while the 65 W power limit and tiny chassis keep sustained clocks lower under heavy load.

What does the DDR4 UDIMM memory interface cap in practice?

The board uses DDR4 UDIMM slots and supports up to 32 GB total, so the installed 16 GB can be doubled with matching modules.

What physical space does the 3.5" 1 TB hard drive need to fit or mount?

The drive occupies the single 3.5-inch internal bay in the micro-form-factor case; no additional 3.5-inch drives can be added.
