Compact business desktop with dual storage

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny Desktop packs an Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with turbo up to 4.60 GHz and 12 MB cache into a micro form factor chassis. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 UDIMM memory, a 512 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse are included.

DDR4 memory ceiling and M.2 slot count

The board supports DDR4 UDIMM modules up to 32 GB total, so the installed 8 GB can be expanded within that limit. Only one M.2 slot is provided; the 512 GB drive occupies it, leaving no room for a second M.2 device without removing the existing one. The 65 W processor and integrated Intel UHD Graphics share the compact thermal envelope.

Check power, video ports and wireless needs

Verify that your monitor connects via the available video outputs on this Tiny chassis, as no discrete graphics card can be added. The included wireless connectivity uses a USB dongle rather than an internal card, so a free USB port is required for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Ensure the 65 W CPU power envelope matches your expectations for sustained workloads.
