Compact all-in-one desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor all-in-one PC that integrates the system and a 22-inch Full HD IPS panel into a single unit. It ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed and is aimed at office workers and small-business users who need a space-saving, ready-to-run workstation.

Bundled keyboard, mouse and dual-storage layout

A USB keyboard and USB mouse are supplied in the box so the system is usable immediately. Storage combines a 512 GB M.2 solid-state drive with a 1 TB solid-state drive, giving a fast boot volume and a large secondary volume for files. A DVD-ROM drive is also fitted for legacy media access.

8th Generation Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core

The CPU provides six cores and twelve threads with a base frequency of 3.20 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.60 GHz within a 65 W power envelope. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles the display output. This processor performance level determines whether the system meets the workload requirements for typical productivity applications.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded beyond the installed amount?

The system supports up to 32 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory across two slots, so the installed 16 GB can be increased by adding or replacing modules.

What limits sustained performance of the i7-8700 processor under heavy load?

The 65 W TDP and the Tiny chassis thermal design are the primary constraints; prolonged all-core work will hit the cooling envelope before the 4.60 GHz boost ceiling.

How loud and hot does the M720q get when running all day?

The compact case and 65 W processor mean fan speeds rise noticeably under continuous load, producing audible airflow and warm exhaust, though idle noise stays low.
