Compact business desktop with hexa-core i7

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny desktop PC delivers an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with turbo up to 4.60 GHz. It includes 32 GB DDR4 memory, a 256 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB SSD, DVD-ROM drive, USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle, keyboard, mouse, and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed.

Dual-drive storage with 32 GB memory headroom

The 256 GB M.2 drive holds the operating system and core applications while the 1 TB SSD provides ample space for documents and media. 32 GB DDR4 handles multi-tasking across business workloads; memory-intensive rendering or large virtual-machine clusters will exceed the installed capacity.

Micro form factor ready for VESA or desk mounting

The Tiny chassis fits behind a monitor or on a crowded desk and ships with USB keyboard and mouse included. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives standard office displays; the USB wireless dongle adds 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. No discrete graphics slot or additional drive bays are available inside the case.

Questions about this item

Will the USB keyboard and mouse included with the M720q work with older PS/2-only KVM switches?

The supplied keyboard and mouse connect via USB, so they require USB ports on the KVM; a PS/2-to-USB adapter would be needed for PS/2-only switches.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-8700 is reaching its 4.60 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager in Windows 10 Pro, watch the CPU speed while running a heavy task; the graph should show the clock rising toward 4.60 GHz when thermal headroom allows.

Does the 256 GB M.2 drive plus 1 TB SSD leave any free drive bay for adding another 2.5-inch drive later?

The Tiny chassis uses an M.2 slot and one 2.5-inch bay; the 1 TB SSD occupies that bay, so no internal 2.5-inch slot remains unless you replace the existing drive.
